Christopher Chen is an articled student with the firm and assists lawyers in representing clients in a variety of commercial litigation matters, including contractual, estate and trust, real estate, fraud, and shareholder and partnership disputes.
He is a licensed attorney in the States of Illinois and Missouri (currently inactive). Previously, he worked at a large full-service law firm in St. Louis, Missouri and another full-service law firm in Taipei, Taiwan where his practice focused on U.S. commercial litigation and international commercial arbitration.
Before law school, he practiced as an international tax accountant at the accounting firms of PricewaterhouseCoopers and Ernst & Young where he advised private equity funds on optimum tax structuring in regards to the acquisition of real estate investments; dealt with a number of cross-border transfer pricing issues; and assisted U.S. foreign expatriates with individual income tax compliance.
He is a native English speaker and fluent in Chinese Mandarin.
